Bearded Dragons!

Last October I came into ownership of a lovely young female Beardie and since then I've fallen head over heels for these wonderful creatures.
I am curious if anyone else owns any and would like to share photos? I love admiring all the colors and personalities shown through photos of them!

Here's my Draco. She's full of attitude, loves the camera and thinks exploring my house is the best thing ever.

That's pretty cool. I could see myself owning own of those. Wonder what my dog would do with it. hmmm

They're really fun creatures! My dog(Rat Terrier/Chihuahua) doesn't know what to do with her. She's kinda curious and scared of Draco at the same time.

Wow! She's a beautiful lizard :)

I own a Chinese Water Dragon right now, and I would love a lizard like yours too :) Have fun with her!

Neat.... How big will they get? What do they eat? Do they mind being by themselves?

Thank you! She's full of attitude too! I don't know much about Chinese Water Dragons, what type of lizard are they? Are they as they are named, in water, or are they land dwellers?

Depending on the bloodlines they can get past 2 feet long from nose to tail tip and require a 100+ gallon tank for living space. If you're lucky they can live 10-15 years too.
When they are young(under a year old) they eat 60% insects(live crickets, etc) and 40% veggies, and once they are fully mature they eat 40% insects and 60% veggies.
They are supposed to be solitary creatures. Having a tank mate stresses them out and often one of them is scared of the other and they don't eat. Some people keep two+ to a tank, and it's not a wise thing to do.

My male is super territorial. He doesn't even like me being near his enclosure.

Wow, that actually sounds a lot like my CWD! :-) They are land lizards, but they keep a cooler environments (they're from Asia after all :P) and love to swim :-)

The females get up to 2 ft and the males as large as 3 ft nose-to-tail :-) So about the same size too :)

They can also be omnivores, but most people (including myself :-P) never manage to get them to eat veggies lol

Oh wow! That does sound similar in many ways. That's cool! Thanks for sharing, I never knew anything about them!

Haha, they're picky eaters?
