i need physics help!
so i am doing a lab report and one of the questions has to do with impulse and why is is better to be driving the bigger car in a collision. any one know why? this is due tomorrow.... :/

never mind i found the answer!!! :)

LOL ok, impulse is probably the one thing i remember from physics last term haha

(i hate physics, hate hate hate hate)

Curious to see what that answer is. In my experience with two accidents, both times it was the car with the momentum that caused all the damage instead of the one that was larger.

Mass and velocity= momentum if I recall correctly.

Tell that to the Subaru that hit the truck that was standing still and caused some serious damage!

Momentum = mass x velocity. Inertia = mass. Inertia is a property of matter that resists changes in velocity. If you were driving a large truck, the truck's mass would mean a lot of inertia. In car accidents, it's the sudden change in velocity that hurts you. A large truck's inertia would make it's velocity more difficult to change.

For all three of these, I hate you so very much (not really)

Math is evil. Physics is the devil...and chemistry is evil too, but at least it's FUN EVIL.

(For the record, I'm taking Spectral Analysis right now...I'm actually not too far from a Chem minor HAHA).

Ask me anything about forensics and I either know or can find it and explain it quickly... I can write papers at an epic level. Now, ask me to do simple algebra? ....eek.

Right now, taking and passing calculus is the only thing holding me back from Grad School. =P
