I Have Lost My Ability To Even

I found a link to this appalling video on facebook. The uploader said that this came from a Parelli DVD. I can't even understand what is trying to be accomplished.

What in the world are they trying to accomplish? Please explain to me. I've never saw any training of this sort.

Maybe the horse has personal space issues? I don't know. But no matter the reason I don't support Parelli methods or anything to do with them

??? The description on YouTube says that this video segment was taken from the official Parelli DVDs. Un-freaking-believable.

There's no gradual increase of pressure, no release at the slightest try, no reading the horse, no reward for correct response.

Does anyone else on HF own the Parelli DVDs who can confirm whether or not this is actually taken from them?

Didn't read the other thread and I can't get audio right now. It looks like he's trying unsuccessfully to keep the horse from stepping towards him. Ive seen people do similar before.I won't say that the horse is invading his space exactly but the horse is definitely stepping towards him. The poor horse is also looking away to avoid pressure. He looks like a nice horse but very confused.

& if you can't work it out, what hope has the horse??

Just one of many factors to point out... While trying to teach the horse, the horse was paying ZERO attention to her... So at the same time she was trying to figure out how to get it's attention back on her so it can focus and learn
