bump on neck?
Today I noticed there were too bumps on Sonny's neck on the bottom side of it. Nothing huge or anything, but I did notice it while I was grooming.
I asked the assistant BO since the real BO was at the Equine Affair this weekend and she thought it was just a bite from a horse or a tick that fell off.
Any ideas, other than that, on what it could be? How long should I wait to see if it goes away (or gets bigger) before calling a vet in....or do you think I'm just being paranoid

Always good to be paranoid when it comes to horses!!
Is it sore? If it doesn't start going down soon I'd get a vet in soon just in case!

it's not sore, nor does he mind me touching it and giving it gentle squeezes. It's hard to tell if there is a scab there since he has an extremely heavy winter coat on

is it warbles? I'd have to see it to tell....

Lack of proper deep grooming can cause little clogs of dirt to accumulate and look like "bumps".

Farmpony, it's not something that you can see from looking at it. I couldn't see it, but I could feel it.

I don't think it is anything to worry about, I think it is just a bite :-)

I did not notice it today while grooming, but I forgot to look for it, but I know if I would have felt it I would have remembered. So hopefully it's gone

I don't think its anything major. Probably just a bite.
