Will these boots work for sorting/roping?

I am going to be taking some sorting/penning/roping lessons, and I have never ridden a cow horse before so I am wondering if these boots will work for this type of riding?

I typically do not use these as my riding boots but more of my everyday boot. My other boots are the fatbabys which I only use for groundwork I really avoid riding in them at all cost just because I fear my foot getting stuck.

The Rawhides should be fine. I ride in my Tombstones, which are similarly shaped.
