Aussie pup!

A week ago we got an Australian Shepherd puppy named Kenzie. She is 10 weeks old, and an adorable ball of fluff. I just had to share!

She's a beautiful dog! I love Aussies! I have one that looks almost exactly like that.

Horseracer, they are an amazing breed. Did your dog's colors change as they matured?

One note on Aussies....and I found out the hard way....their desire to chew is quite intense, watch your zippers, baseboards, stair railings etc!

Super intelligent dogs! Very loyal!! Enjoy!

Muppetgirl...Unfortunately I have already discovered this. She has been chewing up the wood molding on our floor. I watch her like a hawk when she is out of her cage, but the other people in the house aren't a

I tell ya there has to be something in that MDF fibreboard stuff they use for baseboards that makes it desirable for chewing!!.....in our last house we had 5" baseboards, the scrolly fancy kind, my husband was none too impressed to find the laundry room trim and some of the gib rock chewed right up one morning....despite the other dog and numerous chew toys we left available for her overnight!

Cute dog! Looks like she will grow to be a very good stockdog.

No not really, she still has the same blue merle coloring. But, don't ever get their hair cut or shaved or groomed, it ruins their coat if you didn't already know that. Instead of growing back smooth and silky it grows back coarse and frizzy. What we use is one of those furminators and they work wonders and don't ruin the coat. I have an uncle who shaved his Aussie one summer ruined the coat and we had a Aussie that we took to get groomed and it ruined her coat too.

My Aussie is a blue merle too but has more red in her coat.
