Dobbie Update -pictures!

Gaaddd I haven't had a good time recently. A lot of personal things hitting the fan, and then work and a big move to another part of Germany being far too much stress than is required!

Then illness after illness after illness. My poor Dobbie has barely seen me, and when he has, I've had to plonk other riders on his back. To be fair, the two ladies who have helped me out have done a stirling job, and one offered him a home.

Today we felt the first 'power' from behind. I can't believe he worked so hard and well after that amount of time off. He was phenomenal.. really REALLY powered down the long side all from behind, no running... even my trainer had her mouth hanging open! We asked for a bit more.. and more is what we got ;D

After my distress of trying to find a yard, and thinking I would have to perhaps sell.. there is no chance right now. I am so in love with that little horse!

But, some updates! Excuse the blurry, camera is good, but not fast enough to keep up with us!

Not yet ;)

Have a few in mind but we are waiting till 'field season' starts and places empty a bit. We plan to go and see the house next month and scout a few yards in the area!

Thanks :) He is my little star.. not so little.. I can't see over him now!! Think he is 17hh oops!

Such an easy and pleasant fella :)

Glad you're not selling him. He is a very nice horse.

Will have to at some point, just not as soon as anticipated! He is a dream. Every day I wonder how I found him haha! Trainer keeps promising me she will horsenap him

Love him, looking great, and as my trainer would say, "we know he is good looking, but you don't have to keep looking at him, look where you are going"

My three worst habits.. slouching shoulders, looking down and chewing my tongue! My old trainer was fond off.. if you look down that is where you will end up! What can I say.. the horse makes me look good but I need to crop my head out or stick a crop down my back haha!

:rofl: It's funny, I can look around quite happily while riding Emmy, well I have to spot what's going to happen next, Ben I am transfixed on his ears.

I permanently looked at Duffys... was never sure if her dumbo ears were gonna make us take off!!

I do it to make sure outside rein on..inside relaxed.. nose slightly turned to the inside... foolish because you could blindfold me and I could do it from feel.. like I should.. but I like to make sure my horse is still under me hahaha

" quit looking, I've found the 5$- bill already"... my instructor :-)
