Tex-Tan Balanced Ride Saddle (US)

I have a Monte Foreman Genuine Balanced Ride saddle, made by Hereford Tex-Tan, and in used condition. The leather has been oiled and the fleece is in good condition. There are some nicks and rubs in the leather (as shown by the one picture) in addition to what would appear to be some mice chew marks on the upper portion of the back strap. This saddle is being sold as I had purchased it and I am selling it because it did not suit my dainty quarter horse mare (even though it was a comfortable fit for me).

I would estimate this saddle to be approximately 25 years old but still in great shape. Balanced Ride saddles are collectable saddles as well as very useable saddles, especially for ranch, trail, or pleasure use. The designer of these saddles spent decades designing and re-designing the tree until he built one that fit 90% of horses, sat low so the rider was close to the horse, and with a forward hanging fender specially designed to be free moving. The rigging was designed so that you don't have a 2 inch knot of leather between your knee and the horse. Instead, this one wraps a latigo in three different places in the skirting so that your legs fit closer to the horse.

Details on saddle:
- Roper dally horn
- Padded ~16" leather seat
- 27" square skirts
- Buckstitching around fork and cantle
- 3 inch tall cantel
- 13 inch wide pommel
- 6 inch gullet
- Rear strings and rear billets

I barely used this saddle and it will have to be sold as I had previously purchased it. Asking $300 obo. Located in Pennsylvania (USA) and would be willing to ship (buyer to pay for shipping fees).

Why not post a pic of the gullet area? The visual may help you get a buyer.
