Anyone like or do Photography???
I got my own photography page up!!
I've been working on it for a while. I started last year and I was originally going to come up with some fancy name for it all. After a few months of not sure what do to, I just quit.

A few weeks ago I went to create a new one. I discovered my old one, and hated it. I erased everything I did. My logo, and everything else. I just did a complete wipe out. Started over completely.

Now I have it up and running!! This is just a start however, I will get more photos up and hopefully keep it updated and running.

Just because so many people are addicted to facebook, I inserted a facebook like and comment. I have an about and a contact page. (duh)

Well, hopefully you guys will check it out and please, please, please tell me how you like it!! Only my parents and two of my friends know because I am really nervous that it is bad or people won't like it or it will just come to a completely and total failure. I just feel better telling people I don't know too well, because I don't mind what others say as much. It's like if one of you said, "it sucks you're gonna fail" then I won't take it personally and probably keep it up. But if my friend says "it sucks don't do it" I might really start to doubt everything.

It's strange how strangers can be the best people.

Anyways, back on topic.
If you do look at it, please tell me what you think!! I would love some tips, ideas, or anything. Thank you so much!!!

...I'm so nervous.

You have some really nice shots in there. When I was taking photography classes back in college, we didn't have digital cameras, so I was always trying to get a shot on a guess and save film by not overdoing it. I was talking to a friend who is a photographer a couple years ago, as I was thinking of picking up the hobby again, and something she said stuck with me. "take 100 shots, 200 shots, as many as you can, on the hopes that one or two of them will be THE ones you want. The tiniest change in light or a millimeter to the left might be all it takes to make or break the shot." Of course, now that editing has taken such a huge place in photography, that advice might be a little outdated, but I still loved it.

Wow! Your page is amazing. I am going to go look some more now.

Whoever told you it's no good is OUT OF THEIR MIND.

Stop beating on yourself!

There are some very good shots there.

I have a good camera, trouble is I need to read the rules to get the best shots!

Lovely set up.

My biggest suggestion? Ditch the red link tabs. I don't know if it's just me, but red seems unprofessional and just generally hurts. The colour they turn when you hover/click them would be a better bet IMO.

As for your photography, you have a really good eye. As a photographer myself, I live by what apachiedragon said ("take 100 shots, 200 shots, as many as you can, on the hopes that one or two of them will be THE ones you want"), and I'm not a fan of post-editing.

I don't know what sort of camera you have, but you might want to have a play around with the depth of field. Some of your shots would really pop if you had a shallower DOF.

Oh and one more thing - "I am a young photographer, and but I am a decent one." I don't think you intended to have that 'and' there. Just a tip.

I hope I didn't come across harsh, but you'll never get better if you don't get some criticism. You have all the basics down, and you definitely have talent. Don't be afraid to experiment though - If you have a DSLR camera, play with the shutter speed, aperture, exposure, balance... You never know, you might get that one photo that just takes your breath away whilst you are just messing around. I know I did, but the problem is I can't remember the settings I had the camera on!

Thank you!!

I fixed the red, it did look pretty bad - I don't know why I saw that! Same with the "and but" I must have just read right over that...hmmm.
Yea, when I am in the "photography mood" I usually take at least 300 to 400 minimum photos. I love experimenting!!
No, I would love any criticism. It's how people learn to fix their mistakes and not do the mistake again. Thanks!!
I use a Nikon P500. It works pretty well for me.

Beautiful shots, very colorful :-).

Also I agree with the said tip about having multiple shots and choosing the best one or few best ones about them then. While photographing, you should usually also put the most important object not to the centre of the photo but a bit to left or right from the centre. Seems that you've mainly done so. But for example with the last flower picture (the red small one growing from an arm), I'd choose to put the flower to right instead of of left because it looks that it's going on 'out of picture' a little. Sure if you just want that this little flower is your main object in the photo :-).

I think and personally experience that change to crop or otherwise treat photos with photoshop programs makes things easier. I'd also maybe try to sharpen some of your photos a little, for example the pink (rose?) flower?

Here are also few tips if you like to see them:

And some of my photography:
