Hair

Do you put your hair in a bun for show jumping? Or do you put it in a braid?

Hunters or Jumpers? In hunters I put my hair up under my helmet. In jumpers I will do it in a braid or a bun at the nape of my neck.

It's in jumpers. And I have a lot of hair too lol it's super thick too. Like when it's in a braid its thicker than all of the horses tails when their braided haha

I have a ton of hair and bought my helmet to fit without having my hair up in it. I do a braid (leaving enough hair to cover the tips of my ears) and then tuck that up into a neat bun at the nape of my neck; secure with elastics and bobby pins. Then I put the hairnet over and secure with more elastics.

pretty interesting to hear how people wear their hair when riding. I was raised around show barns where you rode with your hair in a hairnet, up in your helmet... period.
I have been riding over 20 years now that way, so it's strange for me when i see people cantering around with their ponytail or their braid flopping around.

Jumpers here a braid will pass schooling show wise. Dressage you better have that stuff rolled tucked pinned sprayed and tidy.
