Belgian Adventures

Well, a few months ago, I posted about bringing home an un-handled 17 month old Brabant stallion (er....colt). I thought I'd throw a quick update up here as well as ask a couple more questions.

Troubadour is doing FANTASTIC in his training! I've taken him out every warm day I'm available to do so and have been exposing him to all sorts of "scary" things - saddle blankets, a saddle, the kids on bikes (because being told to "stay away from the horses" means "get as close to them as you can"). He is slowly calming down and being a gentleman. With the exception of him knocking the saddle over and scaring himself silly, he doesn't seem concerned with much.

He's shedding out his winter coat, and is currently a fluffy white horse with sorrel legs and neck. His last mama said he roans out in the summer, so hopefully, once the rest of his furries are gone, I can get some good pictures.

Is there a way to tell what percentage Brabant he is? His grandpa (CHR Rocky) I believe is 100% (found on the rural heritage website); but I can't find anything about his other relatives? Is there a way to tell, or is that a blood-test?
