Does anyone feed this?
I'm a bit skeptical on it because it claims to be low NSC but has wheat, oats and corn in the first six ingredients..
I am currently feeding Hoffman's Ration and I feel it is more complete and lower NSC.
Currently I'm feeding horses who tend to carry excess weight, and one who is young but I suspect to be IR, or at least NSC sensitive. Both horses are in a moderate to heavy work load focused on dressage (short periods of intense work) rather than endurance (but it's finally nice out so I should be able to make it to the CC course for some conditioning soon).
Opinions on one versus the other?
Haven't fed podium, sorry. I do normally feed their VTM 20 and Patriot 12% Complete Feed though. We have a mill in the city. I generally like their feeds.
Not even an option for me, I would have to track it down. Upon your recommendation Anabel, I feed Hoffman's Ration. Although I could not find a feed dealer that could bring it in, I found a feedstore on the way to Vancouver, where I go once a month to visit, I stop there and pick up a few bags each time. Seems to be really good feed, high in fiber and sodium, horses like it.
I know I really really like the Hoffman's :( But the place I'm moving to feeds Podium - not sure if its worth the extra $$ and hassle to provide the Hoffman's... I will have to talk to them still to see if they are even willing to feed it.
