Hey all! These are some conformation photos of my 8 year old 14.1hh paint x Arabian gelding from today, and I’d like to know what you guys think. They’re not the best photos, both on a bit of a funny angle that makes his butt look bigger then it is, LOL! I plan to get some better ones ASAP! Thanks in advance!
I'm not seeing any pictures :(
Dang...I'll get it working ASAP!
Aha! Yes they did! I hope you don't mind, but I've taken the liberty of posting them here so that they're easily seen. :)
I think he's a lovely little horse! His neck is a bit on the shorter side, and possibly ties onto his shoulder a bit low, and his shoulder is nice although it seems to be a bit straight. His back seems like a good length, although I think I see a bit of a roach back there in the second picture... hard to tell with the light shining from the back. Nice deep girth, his barrel looks like it's a good size, and I think his hip is lovely. I like the slope to his croup- not too much, not too little- and the length. Overall it's a good size. His legs look nice, nicely sloped pasterns with short length, short pasterns, and his hocks look nice hocks. Overall, I think his legs are very nice, although personally I'd like to see a bit more bone on him. He looks like he's built slightly downhill, closer to level. Overall, I really like him- he's a handsome little fellow, although he looks like he'd rather be doing something other than posing, lol. He reminds me of my paint gelding.
Also, please don't take my critique as hard fact- I'm nothing but an amateur still developing an eye, so if somebody else comes along and says I'm wrong, chances are they're the ones who are right.
The only thing I don't like is that his front legs seem so twiggy compared to his nice stocky hind legs and body.
I think the twigginess could partially be because of the funny angle these were taken on...she was standing a little bit closer to his hindquarters and the end result made him look a little disproportionate :P "Hey mom, do these photos make my butt look big?"
Your photos still are not working for me.
Photos don't work for me either.
