Purina Hydration Hay?

Did a search, didn't find anything. Has anyone used this product? I am thinking of experimenting with it to see if my guy likes it, as another way to get water in him when we do long rides or trailer. Seems like kind of a weird idea though, and Purina sometimes does produce some odd things so I was hoping for people's personal opinions! :)

IMO it's just an expensive version of soaking hay cubes before feeding them.

I tend to agree, just over glorified hay cubes.

I agree with the posters above.. waaay to expencive for hay. If you feel like you need to get water in his system soak some cubes or pellets. You can get a 50lb bag for $10 bucks.

$25 for 24 lbs of compressed alfalfa and timothy. That is ALL it is, It is exactly the same thing as standlee alfafa/timothy cubes that sell at tractor supply for about $14 for 40 lbs.

So essentially giant hay cubes, eh? Makes sense to me. Thank you!

I know you are looking into this for your long distance trip. I would soak hay cubes before you start out, enough for your first stop, then prepare some more soaked cubes at that stop so it will be ready for your next stop, etc. Good Luck!
