New glasses

Hey guys. Well the last couple of months i have been getting really bad headaches at work. Im a salesperson so im always on my computer which is like a 24" flat screen monitor(lots to look at). i have always had 20/20 vision but i decided to get my eyes checked. Well now i have glasses...i picked them up yesterday at lunch and put them. I have had a headache ever since. Is it just my eyes getting used to the glasses, or did i just scooped and spent $600 on crappy glasses. every one says the frames look good on me tho...LOL.

Did you guys ever get head aches from glasses?

I haven't had them yet but I do know that it is normal to get headaches for a while when you are getting used to them.

It is very very common to get headaches for the first few weeks of wearing glasses for the first time, or even if your prescription changes. Talk to your optomitrist if the headaches don't go away in a few weeks :)

I had head aches at first too. I got my glasses at 19 when I realised that the words on the computer screen were bouncing up and down lol. I was working as an archivist so I spent a lot of hours reading. You'll also notice that your eyes will probably change within the first year, and maybe even a few years. After I year I had to get my prescription updated, which was fine because I had broken my frames anyway! You can reuse your frames though if they are in good shape.

The reason you get your headaches anyway is because your eyes are relaxing finally. They are used to being all scrunched up trying to make things look clear. I desparately need new glasses but can't afford them right now with tuition being due soon :(.
