hmmm.......is it getting bettER? i see that it's closing up, but it still is pretty yucky. poor denny :(
oh and how come it's more exposed? the first pic appears to have more skin covering it.

Yay pretty granulation! If I were you I'd start wrapping that so it pulls together...

Lucky you're in Alberta! If anything goes wrong with that then just call Dr. Guccione. He'll have it fixed up in a jiff!

Annabel, it has been wrapped since day one :)

Thanks to all who've commented.

Here's what happened:
His paddock is a 2-board wood fence with hotwire running along the top if the boards so the horses can't chew the wood. Appearantly Denny kicked at another horse, somehow got his hoof above the board but under the wire, got caught and ripped the wire off the fence, then broke the wire

Dude, sweet haha I wasn't sure :P Some people get a strange satisfaction from leaving gaping wounds open. Wasn't sure if you were one.

That sucks :(
Before we got my mom's horse he was on a trail ride and going through a stream cut his leg on a rock? It was about as bad as that too. Hopefully he heals up well for you!
