OKAY! Wasn't sure where to put this thread so it would be seen. Long story short I saw these boots at Midwest Horse Fair, on sale at that and had to buy them to go with all my summer riding wear, and dance outfits.
Now, the problem. I have larger calves from riding they're not super tight, but they do squeeze. I want to stretch them just the slightest.. I'd like to wear them with skinny jeans, and be able to slide them on without a problem.
I've heard you can use Isopropyl Alcohol to stretch them, has anyone tried this? Does the old bathtub method work? I've never been confident enough to buy a pair of boots like these. I'm just nervous as all get out, I don't want to sell them because I can't get my stinkin' calf in them. I don't want to ruin them either. :-(
Exercising and losing weight has done nothing, dropped 15 pounds and now my calves are even more toned, especially with the riding I've been doing lately.
Oh, they're gorgeous. I wish someone had answered you. I have a pair I need to stretch, and have never heard of using alcohol. How does that work, as in how do you apply it?
