Cleaning saddle pads?

I have a Classic Equine Bio Fit saddle pad and that I've had for about 2 years now and I would like to clean it. Should you even clean your saddle pads? Should I just pressure wash it and then set it out to air dry? Just wondering what you guys do.

What is the material that needs cleaning? Felt?

Generally, I pressure wash and air dry.

No soap though, that's a b***h to get it all rinsed out.

I always pressure wash our pads then hang them on the fence or hitching post to dry.

And agree with smrobs, don't use soap!

You can put them in the washer but itll ruin the shape.. i wouldnt do it unless you have one of the awesome newer washers (front loader) or you can take it to the Laundromat --id hide it, lol. :-P

I bet a steam cleanin wandy thing would work well.. havent tried it- just my awesome brain.. braining and stuff..

If you have a larger capacity front loader, put it inside of a pillow case and wash it with cold water and vinegar and a tiny tad of detergent. Or take it to a laundromat in the pillow case (king size pillow cases work) and do it the same way. They come out great. Of course air dry.
