Please critique my horse free jumping!

Here are some pics of Luca free jumping.
When I got him, he had never junked before and was afraid of even WALKING over a pole on the ground. He seems to enjoy jumping and he's going well jumping under saddle. These are just free jumping pictures, so please critique his jumping technique. :-) thanks!

By the way, he's a 6 year old Standardbred gelding.

Picture is kind of blurry, but this is about how high he has free jumped yet:

A photo collage of him free jumping a lower, but wider jump. There was a pole in front of the jump. This collage shows the process of him jumping:

Three tyres high :-)

And just a small 2 tyre jump

And one from the front

I know theyre not very big jumps but we're getting there :D
Excuse Luca's condition in those pics, he was slow to gain weight after I got him. He was a poor skinny thing :-(

Thanks in advance!
(I certainly know that Luca is quite sloppy with his legs....)

These jumps are not big enough to get an idea. But yes, sloppy with the legs... And doesnt seem to like this much :/

Lol I can't critique that well but just wanted to say I love your horse's name! It's my favorite! I had a little paint colt who I named the same thing but spelled it Luka. He is very cute. He does have his ears back though so maybe he isn't really enjoying it that much? :/ Or he could be sore, etc.

You are not achieving anything by loose jumping him over something like this.
He is jumping very flat and standing to far off thus just throwing himself over it.
he needs to learn how to use his back over a fence and a loose grid would be the way to go.

He actually LOVES jumping, it's just his habit to put back his ears. (he got it from being a pacing racehorse)l He also does it when he trots or canters. It's not pain either, he dies it even when frolicking in the paddock. He just does it.

Foxhunter: could you tell me what types of grids I should use for Luca?
xxEmilyxx: Thank you! I didn't use to like the name but he comes over when you call it so I kept it. And now...I love it! :D it suits him very well!
ThoroughbredJumper: yep...those legs :? He actually loves jumping, believe me. He's just a strange horse who puts his ears back when he's angry AND happy/excited. He's pretty weird, I must say.
