Looking for a Fly Mask my Houdini Horse can't pull off
We've used, Cashel, Kensington, Wrangler, Schneider's, Pro's Choice, and probably some that I've forgotten about.
Ears, long nose and lots of UV protection.
I'm starting to think I'm going to have to use a sheet, neck rug and attach all 3 things together to keep the mask on. Skippy is the worst for slipping them off and/or just plain destroying them that I've ever seen. He's fine with his fly sheet but the MASK!!!!! And that's what he needs the very most to protect his pretty blue eyes and pink nose.
Any suggestions for a Horse proof fly mask?
DA, not what you are looking for, but those with ears (any I tried) are the easiest to lose in my experience. I use long nose/no ears Cachel on my paint - works the best (you can wipe on spray on ears).
At this point, I'm thinking I'll take the fly mask and hook it to the neck fly sheet and hook the neck piece to the fly sheet and see if that can slow him down some. I use sunscreen under the mask, but alone it's not quite enough.
Subbing as I also have a Houdini when it comes to fly masks. :? Though he only needs his for fly protection.

Here's my Houdini. He's very creative about getting out and destroying his fly masks. Drove me MAD last summer.
Here's mine, along with my yearling Henny whose a pro at keeping his on. You can see how watery and puffy his eyes get thanks to the flies. I put fly repellant around his eyes but that only goes so far.
