Value of treeless saddles?
Two for sale, on is a Barefoot, the other a Torsion. What is anyone's experience with either and what should one expect to pay in used but very good condition. Both are complete units with pads. Thanks
A person living in a remote area has asked me to sell these and I have no idea of their value as used. I need to put something down for price. Help?
They are worthless. I'll do your friend a favor and take them off her hands for free. :D
Barefoot is going to be dependant on the type of barefoot as there are several versions at different price points. From what I typically see they go for about $150-$200 less than purchase price new for just the saddle. So a $800 saddle I usually see listed $600-650 and that usually is not including the pad.
I would assume torsion would be similar mark-down though they are a higher priced saddle. So if one is $1300 new I would look at $1100 or so.
With the pads you might want to price a bit higher.
Is the Torsion a better treeless than the Barefoot. The T is leather, the BF synthetic. I work on saddles, not these things. I've researched them a bit but have no idea of how they compare. I was hoping for rider opinions. Perhaps I should start a new thread.
I sent you a PM with a link to a treeless group that will help.
