How did my new farrier do? Pictures*

So, this horses feet were left undone for way too long and they ended up looking like this http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/...psf430388b.png

I am not looking for everyone to tell me what a horrible person I am for letting this happen because it was not of my control, I do not own the horse so could not call a farrier to get his feet done, I had to wait for the owner to call him.
I am simply wondering if the new farrier we had did a good job with what he had in your opinion and why you say why you do.

I really don't know. I think the only one that looks halfway correct is the second photo of the updates pics.. the foot farthest from the camera lense. The one closest has the front angle.. and looks too long. And I just cannot comment on the other updated photo.

Also can we get pics of the whole horse?

Doesn't apear to be that great a shoe job toes are still long. Looks like heels are under run also.

First pictures the hoofs look awful so guess shoe job is a improvement but woulnt be a good enough one for me.

Need better pics and sole shots and pics of the horse.

These are pics of him before he had his feet done and I am aware he needs weight, I'm working on it. However, this is an enormous improvement from where we've come just months ago.

I woulda taken the nippers and cut the hoof wall back where those cracks are to relieve the pressure on the cracks so theyll stop splittin and grow back together.. looks like he rasped between the crack? Thats not gonna do anything.. good anyway.

I would have cut the hoofwall back on the other hoof to relieve the pressure on the quarter and the toe where the toe has chipped out. Then rolled them both properly.

I wouldnt have shod the horse. Thats only gonna make the situation worse.
Is it just me or are those shoes too big?

I do agree the one toe is too long but if you cut the heels too much youre encouraging the toe to grow out more. The angle would be more correct if he did take off more of the toe (on the other side) though.

Id like to see the bottoms-please?

Hey its the jumper! Glad his feet were finally done. Much better than what they was!

He was rasped between the cracks, I don't know why. I can get pics of the bottoms of his feet tomorrow. I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU REMEMBER HIM! That makes me so happy 😄
I thought the one foot didn't look quite short enough but maybe it's just because he hasn't been done in so long ? Also, do the nails look like they're too far into his foot? Because he's been lame since he got the shoes on but I'm not sure if its the nails or the chunk out of the front or what?
One last thing, have you ever seen a farrier take out a chunk of hoof wall like that? I've never seen that and it's FREAKING ME OUT!! 😰😰😰
