Evies foaling thread
I don't know if anyone remembers evie from 3 years ago... And skecher.. They were my babies and everyone here helped me bring them into the world. Long story short, I saved dusty from going to slaughter and unbeknownst to me she was 9 months pregnant! She has evie on may 14 2010, 3 years ago today... I bought another pregnant mare about a week after evie was born and she foaled a gorgeous little stud colt on June 2nd 2010. Anyway, they were my babies but I went through a divorce and a drought so I had to find them a new home in 2011. I gave them to a woman 100 miles from me, she had one donkey and a lot of goats and chickens, she was a retired nurse and I fell in love with the home she could provide them. I have stayed in touch with her for the last 2 years, checking on my babies on a regular basis, and they are thriving. Evie is expecting her first foal any day now and I feel like a giddy grandmother... Silly, I know. I know everyone's opinion on breeding grade horses.... And I agree, however they aren't mine anymore and I can't make that decision... BUT Evies baby AND Evie will be registered PTHA... I have just recently spent several hundred dollars registering dusty just so we could register her daughter and grand daughter. Evie definitely has a lot of wonderful attributes to pass onto a baby, so all is not lost... And I have also made it clear that if their current owners ever need to find them a home , that mine is open! Anyway, I just wanted to share this with everyone here that remembers evie and skecher and help me pray for a happy and healthy foal for my babies! Pics coming in 2 minutes!!

I wish I had better pics, but like I said she is 100 miles away and I have to depend on someone else to take and send them for me. She looks really ready to me!

So I just talked to evies owner and a mile wide tornado just went about a mile away from them and before the storm hit evie was waving her tail in the air like a flag. As soon as the storm passes she's going out to see if we have a baby... And it's my birthday so I'm super excited to see if she gave me a grand foal!

She's three now, she actually would have been bred at 2.
