Want to Start Cutting

I've been riding horses for years and would love to show, I am most interested in cutting (I ride Western). As a dairy farmer, I've played with cows on horse back and just recently bought a young quarter horse that I would like to cut with. He isn't trained and I want to learn with him, I need lessons but can't find a trainer.
Have you ever heard of a trainer teaching both horse and rider to cut? Is it possible? I guess I could have the trainer teach my horse and I can learn on a cutting horse, but I can't find anyone who does lessons! Really, I don't know much about the sport. I would like to know more about cutting and reining, any ideas?
Where can I learn more about these? :D

Go to some shows and ask around about trainers.

When you find someone, I would send the horse to them and take lessons on a finished cutter for a while. (This is always my feeling when starting a new discipline.) It is so much easier to ask for what you want when you know what it is supposed to feel like.

ETA: You might want to check out NRCHA. They might have a trainers directory.
