Left or Right??

I'm curious! What side do you prefer manes on, the left or the right?

I prefer it on the right side. 2 of my 3 are on the right, the 3rd is heading towards left (it was a mohawk for over a year)

Thanks for voting! Do you have a reason for liking it on the right? :)

I don't have a preference myself.

Right.
I was just always told that it was supposed to lay on the right. *shrugs*

I like that it's out of my way when I'm working with them on the ground when I'm on the left side.. and I do the majority of stuff on the left side (bad I know since I should be using both sides)

Vega's mane is short enough that it doesn't get in my way even though it's falling to the left side. Gem and Montan has long manes

I don't really have a preference as long as the whole mane is on one side. It look "cleaner" that way. Other than that, whatever side the mane falls on naturally is good enough for me. :-)

I usually let it lie on the right side. :) Or, as eclecticstar said, wherever it lies naturally. :) If it was lying to the right, I leave it to the right.

I like it better on the right hand side, especially on my horse because it covers up her Standardbred brand. :-)

I voted that it "completely doesn't matter" --- whichever side Mother Nature wants it to fall is just fine with me.

One of my horse's has a mane so thick that it will split and fall on both sides starting at the poll and going back about 8 inches:-)

I suppose I could work the daylights out of it and make fall on the same side as the rest of the mane but, I don't show so what's the point; I've got more important things to do in that barn:-P

I went with the right, simply to keep in uniform with the banding of manes for shows.

Then you have pain in the butts like my filly who is going into her yearling era, and her mane hasnt laid down at all!!! Wild looking little thing! LOL!
