Need help identifying the brand of this bridle - or just opinions on its quality!

Hi everyone! I'm looking at purchasing a used bridle I found online for the upcoming show season this year. It looks like a very nice bridle to me, but the loop on the noseband for a flash noseband attachment was stepped on by the owner's horse, so it needs to be repaired. The owner is asking $35 for it, but she isn't sure of the brand, so I can't price it out to determine whether or not it's worth getting. I've included pictures of the bridle - hopefully someone will be able to offer some advice! Thank you :-)

Do you need a flash noseband? As for repairing the loop it may cost more than the bridle as it's one of those fiddly time consuming jobs. I could see it taking an hour, unless you can do it yourself.

No, actually I'd like to get rid of the loop and just make it a normal noseband :) I've already contacted a bridle repair company and they said that would be no problem, but I haven't gotten a price from the yet.

A little bump :) The bridle repair place gave me a quote of about $15 - any ideas?

From looking at the pictures, I get the feeling it's possibly made in England

Hmm...that's interesting. What would you value the bridle at if you had to take a guess?

It's a very nice bridle. Don't start asking$, or I'll just offer the $15.00 you're out and "steal" it from you. =b
I'd have it repaired, and just keep an eye on it by cleaning it often. DH and I used a LOT of old leather in our hobby and the pieces that were worn but hadn't broken would break when I didn't expect it.

If everything else is in good condition (except for what you mentioned is wrong), I would say the purchase price is fair. If you ever needed to, you could always replace the noseband with a different one if push came to shove. There are always bridle parts/cavesons available to buy by themselves.

Well, it's hard to say what it's value would be...I'd have to feel the leather, smell the leather (make sure it doesn't have the fishy cheap smell), etc to say what I think it would be worth LOL

Thank you both! I should receive the bridle from the repair company sometime this week. If I get the chance, I'll post better pictures of it once it's all clean :)
