Where to get hay tested?
I live in the DFW metroplex in Texas.
Try your county extension agent first. They should be able to help, and if they can't, come back and ask.
I think if you google 'dairy one' you'll come up with the right mob.
I know you can get it tested at A&M :)

I use Equi Analytical (dairy one). They will send you out a test packet so they make it super easy to do it. Send it in (postage paid as well) and they will email the results in about 5 days. There are multiple tests and packaged tests they are able to do. The best part is their tests are more geared towards horses while most ag labs are testing for cattle nutritional needs and their profiles are very limited. Fabulous service.
I also use Equi-analytical.

But you have to have a corer and drill into the hay for the test samples:-)
It comes out of the bale looking like oregano, then you just put it into a clean zip-lock bag and send it off with a check for the particular test you want done.
They e-mail you the results as long as you remember to check that box on the form:-)
What I have learned about paying Co-ops to do the testing, is they don't know diddly about testing hay for horses.
They do a bang-up job testing hay for cattle but we're not looking for the same things in cow hay as we are in horse hay:?
