Roomy hocks
I often hear the term "nice roomy hocks" but have never been quite sure what it means. Can someone fill me in.

Have done a google search without finding the answer.

Large hocks that are well defined as opposed to small round hocks that are ill defined and/or puffy.

The bay below has small, round hocks. The chestnut has large, roomy hocks.

This does not mean there are not other conformation flaws with both these horses. There are.. but the hocks are what you asked about.
