Anime

Anyone else into anime? (Second question: sub or <gasp> dub?) I use to be somewhat of an otaku in my heyday. But I only went to a convention once, and didn't cosplay! And I was never into yaoi/yuri or hentai! I did maintain/design a web domain, though, with lotsa' shrines and websites. Aahh, the good old days.

Also at one time, I did have a nice collection of original production art, including an eyecatch cel co-owned with my sister. It became too much of a expensive and competitive hobby for me. Though, if I found any of my Wish List cels, I would still buy them even now. My sister still has some of her collection here (if anyone wants to see what I'm talking about) plus she'll do fan cel commissions.

I've watched so much stuff! Some of my favourties remain to be "Berserk", "Weiß Kreuz" (best seiyuu unit, too!), "Fushigi Yuugi", "Mobile Suit Gundam W", "Akira" et cetera... I don't like any of the modern stuff. It lacks originality, and with all the animation houses gone over to computers, it also lacks passion, I think. Everything's generic. :?

My favourite seiyuu (voice actor) is and always will be Canna (Hayashi) Nobutoshi!! His voice is so sexy, and his CDs are so old fashion R&R! Love him!!^^

I've never been into comics, so I'm not much about manga. My sister let me borrow her copy of LunatiX, and the radio drama, and I did think that was way cool, however!

I don't follow it these days, but it is still something I enjoy. Even if I'm not a crazy fan girl anymore!

Ooh, pick me. I adore anime. :3
Since I'm not riding at the moment, it's something to occupy my time with. XD

I haven't got a favorite seiyuu, but my favorite voice actor would either be Vic Micnogna (I can't spell his name. XD) or Yuri Lowenthall.

I kinda like the modern stuff to be honest, but I never really saw too many of the older stuff other than Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball etc.

To answer the second question: Dubbed. The voices of the women (young girls in particular) don't get to be quite so high pitched, plus I can easily listen to that, go on several forums at the same time and instant message with my friends. XD

Hi there! :D

Can you recommend any modern series? I just started watching "Gundam 00" on SciFi channel. It's the most GIRLY Gundam series I've ever seen! OMG! I can see why men in Japan didn't buy into this one! And I thought "Wing" was a stretch (and I love "Wing"!!) It is...uh, entertaining, I'll give it that much.

Guyver, Naruto, Dragonball Z and Avatar (not sure if they come under anime :D)

They are! :D Uh, though I'm not sure about "Avatar"...I had thought it was American-made? I've never looked into it, though I've been told I would enjoy it. I know it turns a lot of non-Anime folks into Anime lovers!

haha! Well Avatar is very well made and very good story line to it. I loved and still love Drangon Ball Z and Guyver. Really good ones :D

Well, for modern stuff, I'd suggest D.Gray-man, Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Darker Than Black, Code Geass and Fullmetal Alchemist are some of my favorites at the moment.
