Contest for Book Cover Photo: Blue-eyed Paint: Ends June 26, 2013
I am looking for the perfect horse picture for my book cover. If I choose your photo, it will be on the cover of my book, a Young Adult historical novel about a Native American girl in the 1840's and her horse.
There is no guarantee I will pick any of the submitted photos, but if I do, you will need to give me rights to use it, and in exchange, I will attribute thanks to you and your horse inside the book.
Here is what I'm looking for: A blue-eyed white horse with a 'Medicine Hat' (Dark ears), with a Native American teen-aged girl. Close-ups of the girl and horse, faces close, or a picture of them from behind riding away in Native costume.
If you have a blue-eyed, white faced horse, I may use photo-shop to get the markings I'm looking for, so try anyway!
The book will be called: Rides Eyes of Ghost.
My horse has everything but the blue eyes.
You are welcome to use this photo (photoshopped of course)
His name is Sky.
Sky is gorgeous! Love the name as well.
That's my boy, can set him up with a better shot anyway. He has one blue eye. Not a quarter horse, or mustang though, if that matters
I am submitting 2 photos of my yearling Flint to be considered. On the white side (even though I don't have a good picture of it) is his blue eye and the grulla side is brown.
this is Daykotah, hes my paint gelding that I rescued from going to slaughter, he has one blue eye and one brown eye. <3
heres some more pics you might be able to photoshop and use them (:
and these are the last of the pics that I think you might be interested in :)

Hello, this is Dana Reynolds. I love the pictures. Thanks so much for putting them up for me to consider. The horse that looks most like the horse described in the book is "FLINT", by Falcor74. I'd also very much like the photo by Shastasmygirl of the horse from a distance on the horizon, and her photo hugging her horse's nose. BrennaMarie also did a fabulous job! I'm going to be working on making a 'book trailer' on YouTube. Please message me personally if any of you would consent to letting me use your photos on it to promote the book.
