Which operating system do you have? or prefer?
I recently got Window's Vista Home Premium. I've heard it's good, but I haven't formed whole opinions yet. I'm not exactly a person who accepts change readily. It's more attractive than XP and it has more features. I don't have much experience with others though.

So which do you have on your computer?

Which do you wish you had if you don't already?

I have had Vista for a little over a year now and I really like it. I like the look and the features of it. I haven't had any problems but have heard of people who have. But then again I just use computers for basic things..the forum, email, typing papers and doing online homework for school and most people say stuff like that is not a problem with Vista.

If you ask my honest opinion I hate Vista to bits. :D. The main reason is because it asks you so many questions when you trying to do something. As Rustic said, basic use and little use of Vista is fine however if you are heavy user like me you'll find it annoying, very annoying. It is so annoying that sometimes you'll feel to break your pc. Just one simple example, you want to run a spyware scanner, when you run it,

1: It asks you whether to run it or not (well duhh! I clicked on it to run it!).
2: It will scan the whole computer just to tell you that "at the end of this scan I will not take your spywares out because you didn't run the program using Admin permissions"
3: When you run it with Admin rights enabled, it will run the program slower, sluggish.

That was my story of Vista.

Now the part about what I like. I like XP because it is not that much annoying and it is in the market for so long that I know how to handle crashes and weird acts of it. I can even use shells to look like Vista if I want to.

So I ask a question why moving to an annoying system when you know you can mask your XP with Vista's skin. Mind you there are allot better skins out there then Vista's blackish skin. :D

Finally, you can do almost anything to XP to make and run like Vista. I'd rather wait till Windows 7 comes out and see if I can move to 7 instead of Vista. :D

Or you could just switch to Macs. My hubby said that some are on sale at Mac Mall.

My laptop runs Windows Vista Home Premium and my desktop Windows XP. Even if I've heard a pretty lot of bad about Vista I can't complain about it (on the other hand I haven't use Vista for a long time so I perhaps don't know it very well). I can't almost complain about XP. So I can say that I prefer both of those. As to graphic, Vista is maybe more appealing.

If you know what you're doing Vista is the best thing ever. By the way, you can turn off all the questions. I don't remember how because I left mine on, but I definitely recall that you can. Google it. I actually like all the questions it asked. I just remember to always run everything as an admin. Plus I only use third party anti-virus and spyware software.

I am not a hardcore computer user, and if you are you're probably using Linux so you can customise it as you want anyway. I need to be able to use Office, Firefox, MSN, AIM, Adobe Reader, and sometimes Google Earth to see how pretty the world is.

Vista does all this just fine for me. I have no problems with it and I find it an improvement over XP.
