Making a braiding aid comb?

I know I can make one instead of buying one. I just don't know how big to make it.

this may sound stupid, but what does a braiding aid comb do? and what does it look like?

This is a braid aid comb. Have tried to braid free style, but always come up with different sizes.

ahh ok.

I think I have one those, not sure.

Not sure how one would go about making it, but you might be able to find a human brush similar to that to use.

I once read something on the internet where you can take an old comb, and break out a certain amount of teeth and you can make your own. I have a bunch of old combs I can use. I'm cheap. If I can make it, I will. I don't care how cheap they are, why spend money when I have an old comb I can break teeth out of?
