umm...what are runners??? and i would be wearing a helmet BUT my dog ate it *along with my phone and War of the Worlds DVD*. I'm trying to get money so i can buy one, and i'm trying to get money for a riding instructor.

Ok i wont yell at you haha. Shorten your stirrups about 2 or 3 holes. The rest actually doesn't look bad. Try to release a little more by just moving your hands up his neck. But keep your upper body back and off his neck like you are. Make sure your stirrups on the ball of your foot and keep your heel down. Maybe move your butt a little closer to the saddle so it doesnt look like your standing. Shortening your stirrups should help. Dont tell anyone but sometimes when I'm lazy i just ride in sneakers and half chaps haha.

lol KANSAS_TWISTER u sound like my instructor but i agree u should hurry up the helmet asap becasue iv seen what can happen when not riding with a helmet (hosptial, stiches, and neck brace) runner are trainers (the shoes) u look pretty good in most of your pick i would just suggest keepig ur butt a bit more in the saddle for the smaller jumps as in the first pic ur to far folward and this may be harder to corect over small jumps as u dont have as much time to get ack in the saddle. good luck with ur jumping i no how hard it is too learn without a instructor (Been there done that :D ) i think u ave done extremly well and look great

runners are sneakers, i for bid my daughter to ride in them, only if she goes bare back, i use to ride in them untill a friend had a freak spill while ridding in her this day she has had 6 opps on her knee and wears a brace and doesn't ride any more

oh, i'm waiting to get paddock boots too. i have half chaps but i dont like to wear them with my sneaker *looks very strange* but i do it everynow and then. i do own tall boots but i try to only wear them to shows *they're a pain to clean!!!* well thank you sooo much for the tips. i'm actualy use to jumping 3-4 foot jumps, but now that i got this horse *not trained* i have to stick with the smaller jumps. and now that i have him and a BIG drama thing happened at my other barn with the riding instructor, i had to leave *my choice* and now i'm without one.

Josey, I think you look great! Nice and relaxed too. I think out of all the pics, your position is best in pic 1. Good leg position!
