Pulling on the bit
Hello, long time no post :P
I've been having a very hard time with Navigator lately. This past August I accepted a teaching job and was 2 1/2 hours away from Navigator except for weekends basically up until the end of May. Now that I'm staying at home again I've had more time to ride (yay!).
Of course Nav is extremely out of shape since he hasn't been worked regularly, so I'm trying to get him back into it - slowly. Lately he's taken to pulling on the bit, especially during downward transitions. I usually can get him to loosen up and carry himself, during trot especially and sometimes canter, but it only lasts for a bit and then he goes back to leaning and pulling.
Any suggestions of how to make that more consistent? Regular riding would be the best, I'm sure, but I want to make sure I'm riding regularly and correctly ;) Unfortunately I don't usually have eyes on the ground anymore, but I'll try to get some videos to post if that's helpful.
Thanks in advance!
