stall turnouts Not draining and making a huge mess.
Ok so here are the turn Outs at the barn .. As you can see not all are Nasty and the were scraped less than a month ago with the bobcat. We clean the Poop out of them daily also. It has been a Very WET month. The BO wants to do something to help them drain better he even thought of concrete rather that a soft material.
the stalls have mats and Bedding in them and stay dry buy we are having drainage issues with this .. and suggestions?

and lastly
they just removed all the old sand. " it was so bad it turned to dust!" and are bringing in new sand this week

You need to bring up the dirt. You have a low spot there that is making the water stay. Get some crush granite/ sand. Place out the side the door then put a mat on top. You need to make it at a angle so the water goes down. Then on the outside of the stalls make a little gully that the water can travel down. I know its sounds like a lot but it will clear the water out fast.

Its a Huge mess and I know as soon as the Rains stop it wont be a problem but it happens every year. and when the ole guy scrapes the turn outs I think he dug it that way and if I try to tell him different he will blow a gasket he is in his 70's and although sweet most of the time he knows it all if you get my drift. He is the BO uncle and the BO told me yesteday he has been ill and he thinks he needs to retire :(
I do think he is right but I love the ole guy even if he can be a grump

I also have a nasty little wet spot since we have had all this rain. There are lots of dry spots that they can stand, but they seem to prefer the mud.

Whats under the dirt? More dirt?

Different situation-- but at my grannys house it would flood around the back den by the door- we dug a big deep hole and put the biggest rocks we could find then put smaller ones then put dirt- for the horses i would use that rubber matting with the holes in it (before the dirt) so the horses never get down in the rock.. 'imhe'

BO's words to me last night.. "don't worry Red I'll have it all fixed tomorrow"
we'll see.. I think he is gonna scrape make it slope away from the barn and then add sand to the top.... if you call that a fix.. as long as the turn outs are usable and not nasty I will be happy
