MSM supplement, which is best?
 

Ok, so i have pretty much decided to get a MSM supplement for Montana instead of an all around supplement.

I found 3 on smartpak (going to get the smartpaks)
Which one is the best?
MSM 99.8% Ultra Pure from SmartPak Equine

SmartMSM Pellets - Joint Supplements from SmartPak Equine

MSM from SmartPak Equine

I'm thinking the last one, not because it's the least expensive, but he would be getting 10,000mg in just 1, 10g scoop.

why do you only want a MSM suppliment vs. glucosamine combo one? how old is your horse

i didn't see your other post sorry. i use the glucosamine xl plus from united vet equine. there is one with MSM in it too. Just my opinion but if you're going to do the MSM you might as well get one with glucosamine in it too. If the $$ is similar might as well do it. I do not use MSM as in some horses it causes them to be Hot. I use this suppliment on both my 12 yo gelding and my 5yo gelding. everyone does things a little different so you'll have to decide what works best for you.

I use the smartpak brand supps and have no problems with them..
He gets supps for hoofs, a multi vit and energy in the summer when we run events. I'm sure when he's older he'll go on the SP joint.

The vet that comes to our barn to inject our horses joints is a leg specialist. He reccomends MSM supplements. I would go with which ever one has the most percentage of MSM.
