My saddle pad keeps slipping back
Starting last month my saddle pad has been slipping back. I got my pony in November and it never slipped back but all of the sudden it is. I use all the straps on the saddle pad it it still doesn't stay. Any advice on how to keep it from slipping?
If you need to know I do eventing

Does your saddle fit? The only time I've had any dramatic slipping of my saddle pad is when my saddle itself was moving around a lot on a horses back, because it didn't fit.

I am using my friends saddle right now. I am planning on getting one of my own soon.I just went to a tack shop locally and we realized it was the saddle pad size. The pad was too small. The brand we got shrunk after wash. I have a large pony so we bought him a pony saddle pad but he needs a horse size. We bought him a horse size a while ago and it doesn't slip. But thanks so much anyway!:)

Make sure that if you use any shining products you don't put them in the saddle area... this is all I could think of besides poor saddle fit or deterioration of the pad??? Try one of Rambo's Newmarket Pads : http://http://www.victorycanter.com/...FaxaMgodeVsAOA
They have a block to keep the pad in front.
