Draft horse WIP - Critique?
I haven't worked with paint since first semester! I had some lying around and decided to start my own project! It's of a draft horse pulling weight. It's done in Gouache on Bristol board. This is what I've done so far! Advice/Comments/Critique all welcome!

you need to teach me how to use guache. that is excellent. all I can say is the old adage, "don't overwork it".

Thanks! I do have a tenancy to get stuck in one place for too long and then I start working sequentially. Gouache has become my favorite! It was required for my color theory class and (though expensive) is great once you master the technique. It takes some getting used to but it's most closely like acrylic but more opaque and dries faster.

It's around 9x11 I think.. The actual paper it's on is 11x14 I think, so I'll have to measure what I've cropped.
