Getting Braver Every Day! Cantered in a FIELD!
Hey all I haven't been on here in a while! I thought I would update how things are going for me and miss Amber!! I have put her in regular training with my trainer, She is now being ridden 6 days a week (and 2x a day on the 3 days I week that I am there) This new training schedule had made ALL the difference for both of us! I even took her out on an hour trail ride the other day! First trail ride in like 8 months!
I Had an AMAZING ride on Amber today! I rode her out in the field the whole time, and we walked, trotted and CANTERED out there! It was so much fun, I can't remember the last time I was so relaxed on her! I can't remember the last time I was so relaxed on any horse actually! When i cantered her outside she was so soft and relaxed, it was the nicest cantered I have ever had on her. I am so beyond glad that I never sold her.. I would have regretted it for the rest of my life!
Anyway here are some pictures and videos from my field ride!
and we didn't get very far in this one, but look at the nice pick-up and how soft she is!!
Glad that is working out for you! She's a very nice mare.
I like her - she looks good and she looks relaxed. What is her breeding?
<3 Aaaaaaah! This thread makes me happy. You have no idea! lol.
I've been wanting to try cantering, but kind of shy about it since I'm the biggest girl at the barn. :/ Thought my balance would be pretty awful, even on my smooth mare. Definitely want to try it, now that I've seen proof it can be done! You ladies are lovely. Congrats!
Totally awesome, good for you
Well done! Also, love the shirt :o)
Great pics! I always wondered what happened to that other horse you bought to replace Amber but had a sore back or something? What happened to him?
Oh I wish I can be brave enough to get to cantering one day, still a little nervousness tho. Very nice pics tho
you look good up there great pictures
Also he is only 13 years young. I don't think his not wanting to move situation is something to do with pain because he lets me tack him up great and he never pins ears or tries to bite at my legs he just wants to eat.
