While this isn't in the critique section, feel free to offer advice or point out issues.

I think we are still a little heavy on the forehand and he's still not quite as forward as I want but the improvement from last year is definitely noticeable...

Still not there though.... And I'm on a diet because I'm still a fattie...

Thanks. I have to admit, whenever I see pictures of him, I think wow... that's MY horse.... I love him. He is a spoiled brat. I was wondering just how bad we are at the lope. When we halt he does halt underneath himself but it's a weird lope because there will be about 4 strides where I feel like he's "launching me out of the saddle" and that's when I know he's doing it right but it only lasts about four strides and I can't decide if it's because I do something or if that's all he's holding right now. He's not troping in the back like he used to but he will if I let him. I think he did it so long that it got comfortable. We are still passing most people in the ring but not all, in fact, we got passed! His jog is pretty great but he never did have issues with the jog. He now backs with his head down as you can see in the backing picture. Still have so much work to do though.... It's taking me years what it would take a trainer a few months to do but... It's the best I can do....

I like this photo because it shows him pushing off his hind leg and lifting his shoulders.

He's not on the forehand in the picture Tiny copied, look at his muscles underneath lifting that back up to you. Best advice I can give you....get your elbows in! Shoulders back a bit more too, how easy it is to nitpick when I am not in the saddle, hehe. You two do look so good, no denying that!
