We are supposed to go look at this colt this weekend and I wanted to know what you guys would pay for him as well?

He was foaled July 2008 and hasn't had training at all I don't think.

He is paint/thoroughbred

whats his breeding?

Nothing special! Hes a paint/thoroughbred.....I can't remember which one the sire is or which one the dam is. But he's not going to be used for anything special just pleasure. We don't show or anything like that I just love horses and love riding for pleasure and trails :D

They are asking $750 for him, does that sound right or too high?

If I were to buy him I'd likely offer $650. I wouldn't go over $700 though, there's just too many grade horses out there.

I think for a grade colt that isnt even a year old yet $750 is too high... you can pick up broke horses for that. but that is only my 2 cents

See thats what I thought too but I have looked everywhere for a horse with these colors!

I have had the worst luck trying to find a horse of these colors for my husband :(

The color is amazing, I must admit. I lost my breath for a second when I first saw him.
If you really want that color, and it's that important to you, then pay whatever you want to get him. It's all in your priorities. I know of a lady who paid far too much for an unsound cremello colt just because she wanted that color. She ened up being heartbroken over the whole thing. So just make sure that the color is worth it.

See I do LOVE his color and I didn't think $750 was a lot to loose, I think its too much for him but we can afford it. I'm so confused on what to do! There is a filly that looks almost exactly like him but has more white in her mane and tail but they are asking $2000 for her!

if he was in AUS i woudl pay 600 as is... but ppl here would pay more! like 1000 easy ppl are silly!

Well, I for one prefer male horses, and I also think I would like a darker mane more then the lighter mane. I would offer $700, they say no, pay $750. Handsome little guy! Im a big fan of TB/Paints though... ;]
