Horse with no name and not a lot of talent!

I went and picked up a horse today!

My trainer knew of him, so we went down and picked him up, took him back to her place, and I rode him. He is not an arena horse, that's for sure, he is a ranch horse. I reckon he is right around 15.2hh and built like a brick **** house, he was up for sale because he is just to slow for ranching.refined at all

Get back to her place throw the saddle on and I ride him in the arena, walk trot and lope, and a number of things are obvious, he is heavy on the hands, needs a lot of effort to make him go, he has also never been softened or refined at all. I take him up the drive way, up and down the lane, in and out of the ditches, and all is good. Then we walk back down to the yard and I am sat on him next to a swinging chair, under a tree, just chatting, and the kids are dressing the dog in tablecloths and flags etc, until the dog is covered from nose to tail in bright color cloth. The dog got fed up, shot across the lawn and under the boys feet legs. With that the other dog saw this apparition he flew at it and a short fight took place, right next to new guy, who didn't bat an eyelid.

So he is home here for a couple of days trial, see how we get on, if he is staying he HAS to get a name, OT is not a name, his registered name isn't much better Rudy Mclean, so if he stays he will need a name upgrade.

Phwoar! That is my kind of horse! What a hunky chunky monkey...

As for names, what about Louie? Lou features in his dam's line a couple of times.

Petey. I like Petey!!!

Aaaaand then, I'll trade you him for a reg. paint mare ;). She's a bay tobi, about the same height, and a little more on the "alive" scale, lol. I need a MUCH quieter horse for my mom.

But he DEFINATELY looks like a Petey

I think my trainer would shoot me if I bought him and traded him, he was never advertised, she found him for me through her network.

What's wrong with " Rudy".....?
I had a Rudy for 15 years, TB.
McLean is nice too. Mac, when he's nice, Mr. McLean when he's an a$$...;-)
Really nice guy, I like him:-)

He's cute! Name ideas: Walker, Chester, Durango, Wyatt, Jackson, Ollie.

Hope it works out, love to see more pics of this guy! Looks stunning, and although he may need some work, he sounds perfect! :D

I like him (but then again I've yet to meet a horse I didn't like except maybe those Akhal Tekes - they take some getting used to). Lovely head. Perhaps 'Otto' for a name?
