Efficient way to pack cord in your saddle bag...
My husband made some zipper pulls for my saddle bags out of paracord. I used to have a wad of cord inside the saddle bag for various repairs etc on the trail, but I had the idea of saving space and also having handy zipper pulls by doing this... They are made from paracord, two different knot styles, he said there are other ways to do it too, including using multiple colors (I like boring black). The short one is about 4' of cord, the longer one is about 6' of cord. They can easily be undone and used if needed. I have seen paracord key chains that are basically the same thing. https://www.google.com/search?q=para...w=1280&bih=685

Awesome! I made one of those for my backpack. Hadn't thought about them for out riding though!

I think you might need the help of a book on knots, braids and plaits. I was intrigued enough to dig up my old book on same so I can try making them although I know they won't look as well done - the ones I found in my book are called a 'double chain' and a 'braid knot' that look closest to OP's.

The second one you can find instructions via youtube look up "how to make a paracord dog collar". I think it's like called (paracord) (King)cobra braid? I have used this link for instructions, How to Make a Paracord Bracelet and Dog Collar - Snapguide
The bracelet instructions have you doing the knot around two widths of cord, the dog collar has you doing the knot around a per-purchesed dog collar.
