What do you think?

This is a possible horse we may get. She is pregnant and due 4/14. She is a 10 year old thoroughbred, she is registered but they dont have her papers. Someone dropper her off at their place and just left her there so they don't know much about her. Her foal is bred to Marfa (the sire) and I guess the stud fee for him was $3000. They said we can have the mare for free if we just want her but cant take her til she weans which would be like aug or sept I guess. Or we can take them both for $1000 and either take her now or leave her there til the foal is born and then take both of them.

I like her but its mainly up to my husband since this will be his horse. He really wants a grey horse. I'm not sure if he saw the pics of her yet, I sent them to his phone. We're in two different states so I can't just show him!

Not much to say. The pics are critique photos and she is already quite a long ways along in her pregnancy so it wouldn't work anyways. I think her coloring is lovely tho and she had a very refined feminine face to her. is the stud registered? I would try to get the paperwork for the mare if she is indeed registered, hope it wasn't something they coaxed you into thinking so they could sell her. I would look into that paperwork so you can register the foal when it's born.
Keep us posted on the little munchkin. Will be exciting to see what she foals.

Oh I wasn't looking for any kind of critique I know these aren't good pictures for that and theres no way to do that when shes that far along in pregnancy! I would have put it in the critique section if I was :)

The foal can be registered, the sire is registered I know. I don't know how the foal can be though without the mares papers. Really they are not coaxing anything because they are giving the mare for the free and they actually wanted to keep the foal themselves but I talked them into letting me keep her instead. They are a big farm that breeds and raises race horses and they wanted to keep the foal for racing.

I have her registered name. Someone brought her there to breed with one of their studs and never paid them and never returned for the mare. She was a well taken care of mare! This will be her second foal while shes been with them. I really don't see them coaxing anything just because we don't have to buy the foal from them we can just have the mare for free if we want!

There was no need to put things in bright and bold lettering. Not sure what kind of answer you were expecting when the title is "what do you think" and all you have is a dirty, heavily pregnant grey horse in a pasture.

Oh goodness calm down please I wasn't doing that because of you. I put it like that so others could see it too and know thats not what I was asking for :)

Sorry shes not my horse and I can't clean her and groom her and then post pictures. I was just asking a simple what do you think. Nothing technical. I thought this was a friendly place :) Sorry if I bothered anyone I didn't mean to.

No need to get all worked up over it. Its a forum where people are here to help others :)

Not sure where you are getting this "calm down" business from. As I said before I'm not the one who wrote in bold red lettering

Look I'm really not here for drama.....I come here for a break away from everyday life. I have enough drama in my life from military wives that I don't need it here too. Please don't ruin this place for me I really like it and all the people I have met on here have been very nice, I would like it to stay that way.

I think she's very cute!
