The movie is probably the best horse movie I have ever watched. It was well put together and it really gave a good portrait of how the story occurred at the time. I strongly encourage people watching it. A must own.

You're very welcome. I don't think I have ever watched that movie without getting a lump in my throat.

Great movie and to this day, they don't have concrete evidence as to what killed him - just conjecture.

I remember something about the vet report wasn't conclusive. It wasn't even deemed 'colic', tho that was what technically killed him, and was listed, but most people think he was poisoned.
A horse that can't be beat messes up the odds, ya know.:-(
I loved Seabiscuit, but I wished Phar Lap could get just as much publicity, but he wasn't an 'American' race horse, so not so many people know of him.

I saw his heart at the Melbourne Cup one year. Its is massive, you wonder how it fitted in his chest. And when you realise how many big races he ran and how close together they were, he must have been awsome.
You'd never run a horse like that now days.
Yeah go Phar Lap. A recent hair follicle DNA test discovered he was poisined with arsenic. I could say alot about this but I've been in trouble for opening my mouth on here so I'll shut up.
