QH conformation and condition critique
Hoping for a critique on my 17 y.o. grade QH. I use him primarily for trail riding, team penning, and ranch sorting but I have also ridden him hunt seat at a few local shows, and just started driving him as well.
I have a few ideas of my own about his conformation but would love your input as well :) As far as his condition goes, I've been working really hard to control his weight (he gets fat on air) and trying to build muscle along his topline. How does he look?
By the way, I have a completely new outlook on people who can take good confo pics of horses....He looks all cute, calm and cooperative in the pictures but he just kept moving. I took like a gazillion pics and here are the best I got.
I'm not good at conformation, but he looks to be a bit over at the knee? Hopefully someone will comment and correct me if I'm wrong - I'm still learning, lol.
I say, he looks great for being 17 years old and still being able to do all that you have been doing with him. To me he doesn't look fat, but healthy. :) Very pretty too by the way.
Pretty nice horse. Long in the back and a bit over at the knee.. but looks like a real useful type. From your post he is!
