When should I cut the bridle path?
We have a horse at the barn thats mane grows like crazy. How short should I cut the bridle path and how often should I cut it?
You should cut it about an inch long and all the way to the base of the mane. just cut it again when it gets long!
Okay, because some people say only cut it in the summer, spring Etc. and didnt believe that was right.
you can cut it anytime. ive never seen a problem with it!
I usually cut my horses when he starts looking like he has a mohawk. I never really have heard of people only cutting it in the Spring/ Summer, but from what ive seen noone really has had any problem with cutting in all year long.
you can push the horses ear back and use that as a reference. Just cut the bridle path as long as the horses ear.
I agree with everyone, any time is fine. I like to do Jubilee's often because her's grows fast as well and I've never been a fan of the mohawk look. :-P
