Attacked by Bugs/Hives
Went out to the barn a few days ago to find my horse covered in either hives or bug bites. There's probably about 50 on her in total. I don't think it's hives because she hasn't been exposed to anything new and has been living in the same pasture for a year lol. I have a show sunday and I need to go to it, but I'm worried about the bites affecting her placing. Is there anything I can reduce the inflammation quickly? I think it happened monday and the size has been going down. Would rubbing liquid benedryl on the bites help any?

Tri-hist would probably work the fastest but you have to get that from a vet. I wouldn't put benadryl on them.
You might want to consider a fly sheet with some good fly spray and often.

Luckily, I've convinced my mom to get her a fly sheet with a neck cover. I do spray about every day but it seems like it only lasts for 5-10 minutes. My horse is black, and it seems like there are more flies on her than any of my other ones DX. What are the best fly sprays out there? I usually use bronco but have used some of the more expensive ones with no better luck.
Honestly, I used deep woods off on my horse. Its the cheapest one that I find works. Asked the feet about it and its fine on horses! good luck at your show
