Horse Kicked - Indent in neck?

My mare Dani got kicked in the neck sometime last night or today. There's no cut just a small scratch and an indent in her neck on the fatty/muscle area. It's about two inches long & I can sink my up to my first finger joint in it. There's no pain & it doesn't seem to bother her. I have absolutely NO idea what it is - could only find that it's possibly a muscle tear. If it IS what should I do to treat it? Is it a vet needed thing? I did call my vet but couldn't get a hold of her. I'm hoping someone gets back to me. Anyway - any help is needed please :-\ I really don't want this to be something that is just going to be there for the rest of her life.

I don't really know about your horse, but I had a mare that had been kicked and she had a small round indention in the base of her neck. It never hurt her, and she had it for the rest of her life.

Talk to vet, but may see no real problems but again??? Might.

Bonanza has an indent too, has had for years with no problems.
