my horse isn't setting up properly
recently my horse has been stretching her hind legs out further then they should be. She knows how to set up she has been showing all her life and she is 22. I called up my trainer and she told me it is just laziness. How do i get her to stop doing this my trainer is out of town and wont be back for awhile. so i am on my own.

It's your responsibility as the handler to tell her where to put her feet. So you should move them where you want them to be. Or if you don't have the control of the back legs when cuing as you should, move her front feet back to stand her up.

At 22 her bone structure is changing throughout the hindquarters, tilting forward. She probably finds it more comfortable to set her feet back a little farther.
